As long as I can remember Clogging has been a free spirited dance, with its history going back to Irish river dance style, I am not sure just how and when it came to North Carolina, but it was brought in by Irish and Scottish settlers.
So when you ride though Beautiful North Carolina mountains, and you hear a Banjo or a fiddle or both, Look out you will see some cloggers.

COAL MINERS do it. Librarians do it. Politicians do it. Some keep their feet barely on the floor, heels and toes thumping with dizzying speed, torsos virtually motionless. Others skip and stomp, or slap their thighs.They’re clogging, and carrying on an old Appalachian tradition. “You don’t need fancy clothes or fancy steps. It’s not important what you do, just that you keep time,” says Jane George, who spent decades teaching clogging and other mountain dance in rural schools. Clogging and its kin are becoming more popular because of standardized steps and increasing interest in southern Appalachian heritage. The dances are no longer relegated to barns and back porches.

Wow! Can I really cheat and save money when I buy gas or fuel? Yes you can, and in a legal way.
There is a difference in saving money and stealing, when I say cheat, I mean in a good way, I simply mean shop smart.



Using the right credit card, if your car can use regular gas why use premium, off brand gas stations offer the same gas as do the brand name fuel stations.

Good Ideas? Check it out.

* Use a universal credit card, that will give you money back when you purchase fuel
* Use a off brand gas station
* If your user manual says you can use regular gas, then use regular gas, instead of the more expensive fuel

* Change the air filter regularly. A dirty filter can lower gas mileage.

* Maintain the recommended level of air pressure in the tires. Drivers
can lose two percent of fuel economy for every pound of pressure under
the recommended pounds per square inch.

* Drive at 55 mph. Tests have shown that a car driven at 65 mph will use
17 % more fuel than one driven at 55 mph.

* Fill up early in the morning. The afternoon sun can heat and expand the
gas in the station's fuel tank so drivers get less for their money.

There are also sites from pre-Revolutionary Days through the Civil War. Not to mention the historic lighthouses (including the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, which at 208 feet is the tallest brick lighthouse in the nation). The city of Wilmington is a major US seaport. And, in 1903 the Wright Brothers ushered in the era of flight at Kitty Hawk. The average annual temperature here is 63 degrees. The growing season lasts 295 days.
